Webster County, IA (RURAL) – 2023 SS4A Implementation Project – roadway departures – widening and paving shoulders, adding edge and center line rumble strips, pavement markings; Hillsborough County, FL (URBAN) – 2022 SS4A Implementation Project – peds, bikes, transit users at 22 locations – low cost countermeasures – sidewalks, leading ped intervals, curb bulb-outs, crosswalk improvements, bike lanes, speed management 

Susan Ebert, Planning Manager for Champaign County Regional Planning Commission, will provide an overview on CCRPC's SS4A grant to develop Urban and Rural Safety Plans for Champaign County. Cindy Loos, P.E., Vice President of Hanson Professional Services, will present the other facet of the SS4A grant, the road diet demonstration project on North Lincoln Avenue in Urbana. They will both share insights and lessons learned since receiving the grant in 2024.
