Michael is a research engineering for the Minnesota Department of Transportation and is the Assistant MnROAD Operations Engineer at the Minnesota Road Research Facility (MnROAD). Prior to joining MnDOT, Michael studied at the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) at Auburn University and the University of Utah. Outside of being a self-proclaimed "pavement nerd", Michael enjoys sports, everything outdoors, travelling, and family.
