Dr. Mickey Edwards is Lead Transportation Researcher in the Center for State Policy and Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield. In this role his responsibilities include linking crash and hospital records for the State of Illinois and authoring multiple annual reports for the Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Department of Public Health. Using the linked records he has also published academic research focused on the causes and effects of motor vehicle crashes on Illinois residents, communities, and the implications of crash incidents. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Cornell University and a PhD in Regional Development Planning from the University of Cincinnati.
