Matthew Madsen, he/him/his, is a Research Associate at the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. Matt’s work focuses on the intersectionality of the built environment, transportation, and health in small urban, rural, and frontier communities in Montana and other western states. He has a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health with an emphasis in community health education. Matt has worked across the field of public health in transportation, community development, program development, program management, evaluation, education, and training with an emphasis on community engagement. When not doing public health work, he can be found exploring the world on bike or skis and sharing food with friends and family.
