Luke McGinty is the Chief Engineer for the Elmore County Highway Department. Luke is responsible to properly construct, maintain, and repair the county roads and bridges. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. After graduation he worked with ALDOT in Pre-Construction designing roadway plans and performing safety curve analysis. After a year with ALDOT, Luke was hired as an assistant engineer for Elmore County. In 2018 Luke was promoted Deputy Chief Engineer and in 2020 Luke was promoted to Chief Engineer. Luke is also a member of the National Association of County Engineers (NACE) where he serves as Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee Luke is also a member of the National Association of County Commissioners (NACo) Transportation Steering Committee.
