Description

This presentation will discuss the current status of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for pavements, including a review of current research and practices in the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Sustainable Pavements program. We will use the example of a flexible pavement with alternative designs using a conventional approach and a mechanically stabilized aggregate layer for enhanced performance.
